The term affordable housing is used a lot these days. It used to mean subsidized housing for low to moderate income households. Now it might just mean housing that most people can afford. Why is it so hard for first time homebuyers to find an affordable home? Is it because no one is selling? Is it because of interest rates? Is it because of building costs? Maybe it has to do with wages not keeping up with inflation? Whatever the case may be, we are going to explore what is causing the brewing affordability crisis throughout the United States, and not just for low income households.
